Using ShadowProtect GRE as a migration tool - have you licensed the right server?
The newest version of GRE (6.1) requires that a license.ini file be generated from the following website:
Please be very careful when you enter the name of your Exchange server to create this license file!
If you are using GRE to do a migration and your source and target exchange servers have different server names, in order to perform the migration you must first license GRE to the old (source) Exchange server name as this will be the server you wish to restore data from and migrate it to the target Exchange server.
Once you created a license file from the GRE activation portal, you must save this license file to the GRE install directory. When you mount the ShadowProtect backup image of your Exchange server, GRE will check that the .edb (database file) in the backup image comes from an Exchange server with the same name that you used to license GRE. It does not check the Exchange server you wish to restore to - only the Exchange server the .edb is from.
